Buyer position:
The buyer position refers to how ready the contact is with regards to completing a sale. Select the option that is most relevant to this person. If you do not know this information yet, you can always skip this step and add to it later.
Budget:
This information, although not required, could help you down the line. If this person is enquiring on a specific plot but do not follow through with the sale, you may be able to present them with an available plot that fits their budget requirements in the future.
Find address:
The ‘find address’ field utilises a large database of addresses stored from various locations across the United Kingdom. If you have your contact’s address information, enter the first line of their address into this field to return a series of suggestions. Select the address you are looking for, and the rest of the address form will populate itself. Some addresses in very rural locations may not appear so for these cases, you will need to fill in the rest of the address section manually.
Note: For browsers that store address information such as Google Chrome, the browser may place an address suggestion overlay over the top of this feature which may impact the find address field functionality. You will need to turn this browser feature off in this case. The process of turning this feature off will vary depending on your browser type and version.
Source of enquiry:
The sources of enquiry field is a key part of the new contact form, as this data is collected for the Reports feature in the Housebuilder Pro feature. Inputting this data will allow for accurate reporting to allow sales, marketing and management teams to analyse marketing efforts.
Contact wishes to receive marketing by:
If your contact has given marketing consent, select their contact preferences here. For those companies that have successfully integrated their version of the system with Mailchimp and other third-party marketing outlets, contacts with ‘email’ set as their preference will automatically add this contact to your preferred email marketing audience.
Changing a contact's status:
Most contacts when they are first created are automatically assigned a status of 'New'. Contacts with this status are not associated with a plot. For contacts that are added to the system retrospectively of previous sales progression, you can manually change the status for this new contact by selecting its most relevant status option in the drop down at the top right of the create a contact form.
