Sending a group message is quite straight-forward. First, go to the contacts page. Then, if required, alter your filters to display only the customers you wish to contact. This can be done by clicking the green "+" icon and choosing from our options for filtering. For more information on filtering contacts, please see our other knowledgebase article here: Filtering contacts | Housebuilder Pro Help Centre
Once your chosen group of contacts are displayed, click the "Send group message" link annotated in red in the screenshot below.
You may see another window that advises “You will be sending an email to contacts who haven't agreed to marketing receive email marketing. Do you want to proceed?”. This means that in the filters you’ve selected, there are individuals who has not given consent for marketing emails. To get past this, either click the green button to "Send only to the contacts with marketing consent". Or, if for whatever reason you absolutely must send a group message to contacts regardless of their consent, you can click the link beneath the green button to "Send to everyone, including those without marketing consent".
Once beyond this screen, you’re taken to a window to send an email. Setting this email up is similar to sending your average email. Your first selection is for the email address that the customer will receive an email from. The second drop-down will load up one of your message templates.
Sending an email this way will send the same blanket email to everyone in the group, you won’t be able to add the personal touch here in a group message.
